The other day Google suggested an article in my feed that struck me SO HARD!!! It's written by a lady who completely lost her voice for a year, and it's about her journey to getting it back.
Thank you Google - I read it. It was INCREDIBLE!
So now I'm sharing it with you. I sincerely hope if you are reading this post that you will stop right now and read THIS instead:
The Year I Couldn't Speak - by Anne Fenn
The author, Ann Fenn, talks about why she lost her voice and how she got it back. But more importantly she reveals how the loss of her voice was related to her emotions, self esteem, anxiety, self-expression... there's so much going on when we vocalize or when we DON'T vocalize!
If you think you are afraid to be heard singing, I encourage you to read this memoir. It may shed some light on why it is essential that you allow your voice to heard.
Enjoy and let me know what you think of the article!
